Round Tube bar table 110 cm height

After having launched the Tube Cabinet at Salone del Mobile 2016, Maarten Baptist further explores the opportunities of using tubes as base material. In the Tube Table, the base is distinctly recognisable as building material. It turns into furniture by only a minor intervention: three small eye-shaped holes and three lines in the length of the tubes are laser-cut in a 150mm diameter round tube, creating the legs. They are bent outward and affixed with a little welding. These cleverly designed and solidly strong tables liven up any inside or outside space. Maarten: “I’m forever trying to design products that seem to have always been there.” The tables can be customised to any size and shape. This table is customised for the VPRO tv program “De toekomstbouwers” (The future builders). The table top is made from form ‘ARPA Fenix’.
